Hypochlorite dosing station

The automatic dosing station for reagents is designed for dosed introduction of liquid reagents into the treated water, such as sodium or calcium hypochlorite, chlorine water, coagulants, flocculants, antiscalants (technical water softeners), solutions of alkalis and acids (pH-correctors), etc.

The most widely used dosing station at present is in swimming pools and small water treatment plants for drinking water supply to disinfect water with a solution of sodium hypochlorite.

The figure shows a diagram of such a station. Before the start of its operation, the hypochlorite solution dose setting per unit of water flow rate introduced into the water by the dosing pump is set, consistent with the water flow rate recorded by the flow meter.

In the process of operation, automatic control of compliance of the real consumption of hypochlorite with a given setpoint is carried out, and if they do not match, the operation of the dosing pump is automatically corrected by increasing or decreasing the dose of injected hypochlorite.
