Pregnant women and patients whose health does not allow them to wear seat belts are not allowed to wear seat belts. Paragraph 159 of the rules also prohibits the carriage of children under the age of 12 in the back seat of a motorcycle, in the front seat of a vehicle without special child restraints.
For information, the current traffic rules, which came into force in 2016, stipulate that only the driver must wear a seat belt.
